The Ideal Applicant
ACPA values diversity and is accepting of all students. The Ideal applicant at ACPA is kind and respectful to others at all times- even off campus. 'Accepting' is a key word to keep in mind: Some ACPA students don't look very traditional. When touring the school potential students and their parents shouldn't be surprised to see students with bright blue hair and eccentric clothing. We put more value into the achievements our students are capable of- not what they look like.

Bullying or discrimination of any kind is NOT acceptable! We have a zero tolerance policy towards harassment. In order to be comfortable and achieve, students need to feel welcome on all levels- regardless of gender, national origin, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, handicaps or religious preference.
ACPA students are expected to want to learn. Our kids challenge themselves academically and are self-motivated to learn. Honors level material is available in all courses- even the arts! So we want kids who really seek to get the most out of their education. Some applicants have made the mistake of assuming that ACPA puts more emphasis on art than on academics- This is not true! ACPA strives to be the perfect balance of the creative and scientific mind. We want all of our students to be able to attend college and succeed in life. We are a college prep environment- which means that a strong foundation for higher education is our biggest priority.
