State Testing

In addition to the graduation course requirements, the Ohio Department of Education requires that all students are at least 18 points across the seven end-of-course tests, called an End Of Course Exam, given after the year-long course of the same subject. The courses are English 9, English 10, Algebra 1, Geometry, U.S. History, Government, and Biology. For a full explanation, please click here.

AP (Advanced Placement) Exams

Any student who is enrolled in an AP test is encouraged to take the corresponding AP exam. This is required in order for the student to receive college credit in the course.
The pre-administration part of the exam will take place on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 during 5b. Every AP student scheduled to take an AP exam is required to fill this paperwork out prior to taking the exam.
AP exam sign up and fees are due on March 28, 2018 by 4:15pm, and we will not accept late sign ups.

ACT/SAT Testing

Students should have taken either the SAT or the ACT by the end of their junior year. Most schools will accept either test. ACT questions are often easier to understand on a first read. On the SAT, you may need to spend time figuring out what you’re being asked before you can start solving the problem. It is recommended that whichever test the student scores highest be retaken to increase the score.

Start taking those tests this spring too! Register NOW so that you don’t get closed out of your preferred testing site! Don’t wait!

You can register online at: www.actstudent.org or http://sat.collegeboard.org/home
