Social Worker vs. School Counselor: Which one is right for my needs?

Reach out to the 7th-9th grade School Social Worker Heather Wise, LISW-S for:
  • Mental / Behavioral health / Social Emotional services and resources
  • Psychiatric / Behavioral crisis or emergencies
  • Linkage to community-based resources

School Counselors support students in academic achievement, social-emotional wellness and career/school planning (like high school and college). They can help with things like:

  • If you are being bullied or know someone who is
  • If you are new to the school and having a tough time
  • If you are upset about a family problem
  • If you are having trouble with homework
  • If you are having trouble with friends
  • if you need some time to self-regulate or de-stress in the counselor's office
